Role Description:
The Director of Enterprise Architecture would need to have at least 15 years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively leading the Enterprise Architecture function on behalf of the entire organization.  
As the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be responsible for helping business leaders enable their future-state business capabilities. You must be capable of practically applying existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models. You must be able to understand, monetize and operationalize new technologies. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function.
- Establish an architectural framework for the organization (i.e., TOGAF, EAF), align to corporate strategy, map current business processes and current technology within framework, and train business and IT teams in framework.
- Promote the business value of the EA function and the results of the EA program to business and IT leaders.
- Design and construct future- and current-state business models to practically apply new and emerging technologies to drive them.
- Detail potential competitive threats that are considered outside of the firm’s traditional realm of competition.
- Construct technology-enabled operating models, and provide viable options and visibility into execution opportunities.
- Scan the market for major disruptive technology and non-technology trends (trendspotting) that affect business. 
- Provide practical advice and best practices to overcome these challenges and successfully deliver the expected business outcomes.
- Lead the analysis of business and operating models, market trends and the technology industry to determine their potential impact on the enterprise's business strategy, direction and architecture.
- Track and apply innovative and existing technologies, anchoring them in the business model to assess their potential, and work with software engineering teams to rapid prototype approaches to evolve innovations.
- Lead technology experiments, helping to create new products and services and integrating the best of theses into steady-state operations for the organization.
- Work with business peers to develop and present business capability models and roadmaps to facilitate discussion and decision making with stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Oversee the evaluation and selection of EA standards, as necessary.
- Consult with infrastructure, project and product teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture.
- Lead the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the enterprise architecture.
- Work with the Software Engineering team to increase individual competencies and overall team effectiveness.
- Teach other IT teammates about new technologies and point them to valuable sources of learning.
- Extend and improve current DevOps practices, tools and competencies within the team.
- Evolve the organization’s “cloud first” strategy and assist in mobilizing the organization in the movement of the entire IT ecosystem to cloud-based technologies.
- Report to and collaborate with the CIO on all IT-related financial and operational requirements to ensure continued company growth

Requirements:
Job Qualifications: Education & Experience Requirements

- BA/BS in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred
- 10-15 years’ experience in the MIS or Information Technology field, including at least 5 years in a software developer or application architecture role, and at least 5 years in a management capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TOGAF architectural framework
- Experience with Start-Ups and Full-Stack Cloud development and deployment is a plus.
- Experience in contract negotiations with vendors
- Solid written and oral communications, planning and documentation background
- SDLC experience and Sarbanes-Oxley background preferred
- Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 15 years
