We are currently seeking an Oracle Database Administrator for our client in the IT Services and Consulting domain. Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: California (Remote)

Salary: $43.00/Hourly on W2 and $51.00/Hourly on C2C

Role: Oracle Database Administrator

Primary Skills: Oracle

Role Description: The Oracle Database Administrator must have at least 10+ years of experience. 

Required Experience and Skills: 

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, or a related discipline, and 10+ years of relational database background, of which 8+ years as a DBA is required. 

- Extensive work experience in information technology and diverse technological environments. 

- Both data and process analysis and modeling skills which include logical and physical database design, as well as physical database implementation. 

- Strong knowledge of distributed database concepts and design.

Responsibilities: 

- Perform database administrative procedures using the latest tools and technologies. 

- Manages components and progress of large complex projects. 

- Oversees small and medium projects using project management, budgeting, and financial tracking controls. 

- Provides project reporting to project sponsors. 

- Designs, develops, and implements complex physical databases across multiple platforms, technologies, and computing environments. 

- Monitors the performance of databases and makes tuning changes. 

- Oversees ongoing system capacity planning, forecasting, and tuning. 

- Performs research, presents technical studies/findings, and make recommendations. 

- Prepares business requirements reports, feasibility studies and cost justification statements. 

- Articulates information architecture to clients. 

- Consults with higher-level resources to ensure the consistency of recommendations with enterprise direction. 

- Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most cost-effective design solutions. 

- Works closely with technical and client management to ensure implementation of database management and support tools for complex business application development requirements and processes in accordance with the latest enterprise direction (e.g., diverse development platforms, technological environments, software, hardware, and tools). 

- Works as a Team Lead in the design and implementation of large, complex database solutions. 

- Consults with IT staff and clients to determine the impact of new or revised applications on information architecture. 

- Consults with clients to determine the information management requirements. 

- Provides training, knowledge transfer and professional development on new technologies and applications to staff. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent 

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
